"Ecurie Ecosse" — Near Cahors and Gourdon

"Ecurie Ecosse" is a cottage set in the grounds of lovely restored 18th C country house with mature private gardens in the midst of beautiful French countryside. Heated swimming pool with sunny patio.

Situated in the Bouriane, a pretty area of trees, hills and rolling farmland lying midway between the valleys of the Lot and Dordogne.
Weekly markets, shops and restaurants can be found in nearby market towns.

Country setting but convenient for A20 autoroute & RN20 (D820) giving easy access to surrounding area including the medieval town of Gourdon and historic Cahors set within a loop on the river Lot.
Domme, Sarlat, Rocamadour, Padirac and the river Dordogne are a short drive north and equidistant southwards is the unspoilt valley of the river Lot with riverside hamlets and the beautiful village of St-Cirq-Lapopie set in a cliff face overlooking the river.

Traditional festivals and fetes are often held in nearby villages and the area is ideal for holidays in France, walking, canoeing and golf.

Set in an acre of mature private gardens with barbecue, gazebo and patio/terrace with outside dining table and chairs.
New heated salt water swimming pool (10m x 4.5m) with roman end and underwater lighting, patio and outdoor furniture.

Golf-
A selection of 18 hole courses can be found within a 20-25 mile radius.

Special interest holidays-
The property is set in the midst of superb walking country and guided walks are available on request. Bicycles are also available. We are happy to give help and advice if you are house hunting in France.

We can arrange transport to and from local airports at a reasonable charge..... however use of a car is recommended to enable you to make the most of your stay.

An excellent choice of shops, supermarkets, banks, restaurants and cafes can be found at both Gourdon (11 miles) and Cahors (18 miles). Waterpark (Quercyland) at Souillac (28).
