"Chez Capy" — Near Cahors and Gourdon

"Chez Capy" is a charming country cottage with private garden set in old village in the midst of beautiful French countryside. 'Chez Capy' dates from around 1750 &features an original fireplace from the old castle which once stood nearby. Situated in the Bouriane, a pretty area of trees, hills&rolling farmland lying midway between the valleys of the Lot &Dordogne. Weekly markets, shops &restaurants can be found in nearby market towns. Country setting but convenient for A20 autoroute& D820 giving easy access to surrounding area including the medieval town of Gourdon & historic town of Cahors set within a loop on river Lot. Domme, Sarlat, Rocamadour, Padirac &the river Dordogne are a short drive north &southwards is the unspoilt valley of the river Lot with riverside hamlets&the beautiful village of St-Cirq-Lapopie set in a cliff face overlooking the river. Traditional festivals & fetes are often held in nearby villages & the area is ideal for holidays in France, walking, picnics, canoeing & golf.
