Malbernat le Manoir — Frayssinet le Gelat

The Manoir is a beautiful family home with pigeonnier tower.Built around 1700, it overlooks the courtyard and its own garden and private pool.
It has been lovingly restored, with all its features such as stone sink, walnut staircase running to all three floors and endless polished oak beams.

It is fully equipped to comfortably hold ten people in five large bedrooms, two of which are in the tower , all overlooking countryside.
Two double bedrooms and three twin rooms with a bathroom with bath and glazed screen shower, wc and handbasin on the first floor, shower room on the second floor with wc and basin.

The Manoir is separate to the cottages, having its own parking, entrance, gardens and swimming pool . Facilities such as washing machine and lines for drying also .It is especially good for two families together but with enough space for all to enjoy privacy if necessary

The swimming pool is 9.2 x 4.5 metres and 1.2 deep It is salt water filtered, giving a gentler, healthier feel than chlorine and it does not hurt the eyes .The lawn around the pool has full sunshine and also gentle shaded areas where one can read a book with a glass of red wine or gently dozeaway the latest barbecue...
Sunloungers, patio furniture and a barbecue all help towards al fresco meals making outdoor living fun.
Vines and climbing plants like wisteria, clematis and grape grow in abundance around the house.The garden is overlooked by an old walnut tree creating one of those needed shady areas to relax out of the heat, or you could visit those sites for which the area is famous-the old villages, caves, traditional markets, bastide towns, endless vinyards to sample and many wonderful mouth watering restaurants.

The large living/dining room and the kitchen both have doors opening into the garden and leading to the patio and pool.
There is a huge log burning stove in the living room and the beech dining table seats ten in comfort.
There is an open fireplace in the upstairs sitting room where TV monitor and DVD are available.There are bookshelves on every floor.
The kitchen still retains the original domed bread oven.For cooking, there is a gas hob/electric oven, a wood-burning range and microwave.The provencale oak units conceal a dishwasher and refrigerator.There is also a utility area with washing machine and fridge- freezer.
The Manoir can be rented with the other houses for group holidays/ family occasions etc.
